Employee Credentials Verification

VERIFICATION OF CREDENTIALS

It is the purpose of Douglas Services LLC to insure that academic and professional credentials reported as a part of the employment screening and either the promotion, transfer and assignment process are permanently reflected in the employees personnel file.

It is the policy of Douglas Services LLC to retain as permanent record any and all official copies of academic and professional credentials used in the screening process for newly hired employees as well as those used in the screening for promotion, interagency transfer and permanent reassignments. Such evidence of credentials will be retained in the employee’s personnel file. The employee’s supervisor is responsible for insuring that affected employees are notified of their responsibility to request such documents (official transcripts, certificates, etc.) from the awarding institution(s). The affected employee is also responsible for the expense associated with this requirement.
Human Resources is responsible for identifying document requirements and subsequently for insuring that any and all personnel records are suspended until the credentialing documents are posted to the personnel file, is further responsible for insuring that newly hired employees are adequately notified of this policy during their employment orientation process and, as well,
insure that aid in understanding the scope of the policy is sufficiently available to the new employee(s).
